This policy explains what cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can manage or withdraw your consent. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

This Cookies Policy explains how Boian, Gaina & Associates SPARL ("we", "us", the "Firm") uses cookies and similar technologies on bg-law.ro. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we process personal data.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar
technologies — such as localStorage, sessionStorage, pixels, and tags — store or read
information on your device for comparable purposes. We refer to all of these collectively as
"cookies" in this policy.
Cookies may be:
- Session cookies – deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies – remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.
- First-party cookies – set by bg-law.ro.
- Third-party cookies – set by external services we use.
2. Legal Basis
- Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent (art. 4(6) of Romanian Law no. 506/2004, transposing art. 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC, the "ePrivacy Directive").
- Analytics and marketing cookies are set only with your prior consent (art. 4(5) of Law no. 506/2004; art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Refusing does not limit your access to the site in any way.
- You can withdraw your consent at any time (art. 7(3) GDPR), as easily as you gave it (see section 6). Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.
- The cookieless statistics tool (section 4) relies on our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and stores nothing on your device.

Google Analytics 4 is loaded through Google Tag Manager, together with the marketing tags below, so it only runs when you enable both the "Analytics" and the "Marketing" categories. Google Consent Mode tells each Google tag which categories you accepted.

Google Tag Manager, and with it the Google Ads and Meta Pixel tags, is loaded only after you enable the "Marketing" category. If you submit the contact form with this category enabled, your name, email address and phone number are sent in an irreversibly hashed form to Google Ads and Meta to measure the campaign conversion ("enhanced conversions"). Details in the Privacy Policy.
We do not use these cookies to build advertising profiles or to show you ads on this site.
Third-party content
The site loads no embedded third-party content. The office map next to the contact form is a static image hosted on our own server (map data © OpenStreetMap contributors); it contacts no external provider and sets no cookies. The "Open in Google Maps" link takes you to Google's site only if you click it.
4. Cookieless Statistics
Basic traffic statistics are collected through a cookieless analytics tool (Rybbit, a self-hosted instance we operate on our own infrastructure, so the data does not reach any third party) that stores and reads nothing on your device, does not track you across other sites and produces aggregated data only (pages visited, country, device type). Your IP address is not retained.
5. Transfers Outside the EEA
Google and Meta may also process the data from their cookies in the United States. Transfers rely on the adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Google LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc. are certified) and, in addition, on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. 6. Managing and Withdrawing Consent
- On your first visit, the cookie banner lets you accept all categories, keep only the essential cookies, or pick categories individually under "Preferences". Refusing is as easy as accepting.
- At any later time, click "Cookie settings" in the footer of every page to change or withdraw your choice. On withdrawal, the analytics and marketing cookies set by us and by the tags loaded through Google Tag Manager are deleted, and those tools are no longer loaded.
- Your choice is remembered for 6 months; after that, or after a change to this policy, the banner will ask again.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Clearing the site's data makes the banner reappear.
- Additional opt-outs offered by the providers: Google Analytics opt-out, Google Ads settings, Meta ad preferences.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Your rights (access, erasure, objection, complaint to the Romanian supervisory authority ANSPDCP and others) are described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Changes to This Cookies Policy
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page, with the "Last updated" date amended accordingly.
